Alexander D. Great is one of the artists who has performed during recent Carnival seasons in the calypso tent of the Association of British Calypsonians. This CD features calypsos that comment on Black British history since the arrival of the SS Empire Windrush in 1948. Held at the end of August, the Notting Hill Carnival is one of the largest festivals in Europe.
