Trinidadian George Browne, also known as "Young Tiger," arrived in England as a seaman in 1942 and began a career as a vocalist that would extend through the 1960s. He sang in various London clubs and toured the Continent, both as a solo act and as a member of a vocal group called "The Three Just Men." Calypsos were a part of Browne's large repertoire of popular and traditional songs.
