On Carnival Monday and Tuesday, masqueraders revel in the streets of Port of Spain and other towns. Music is provided by calypsonians, musical ensembles and deejays, who ride on flatbed trucks. Steelbands also perform, though they are more popular during the weeks before Carnival, when they rehearse in their yards and participate in Panorama, a multi-round competition. The Carnival attracts many visitors from overseas, both tourists and Trinidadians who have moved to other countries.
